The”Ivan Spassov”Plovdiv chamber choir was founed in 1979 at the idea of the choral master Nikola Lipov as Youth chamber choir of Plovdiv.During 1999 –with the permition of “Prof.Ivan Spassov”foundation to the choir has been given the right to take the namefrom one of the must prominent persons in the cultural history of Bulgaria.

Begun as many others – like a group oliffred a little from amateurs ones-the ensemble reached the level of the best chamber choir inEurope.Naturaly and somehow unnoticeably fast he has ensured highly professional existenceand has discovered to his participants splendid opportunity of development for his own individual talent.
With his first appearence ”Ivan Spassov”Plovdiv chamber choir has won the affection of the audience and the high opinion of experts.
The ”Ivan Spassov”Plovdiv chamber choir regulary participates in the most prestigious national festivals such as”Golden Diana” –Yambol;”Winter Music Evenings”-Pazardjik;”New Bulgarian music”Sofia ;”Bulgarian choir Panorama”-Sofia.
